About This Book
Anna Anderson, her sister Ida, and her mother live in a small village in Sweden. They are poor but happy. When they join the LDS Church, the little family is persecuted, and Anna’s mother is fired from her job. Eventually, she sends Anna and Ida to America so they can find a better life. Ida travels to Idaho for a job with a Latter-day Saint family, but little Anna travels alone to Salt Lake City to stay with her aunt. When young Anna arrives at the train station late at night, her aunt is not there to meet her as arranged. Unable to speak English, Anna prays that Heavenly Father will send someone to help her – someone who speaks Swedish. How Anna’s prayer is answered will touch the heart of every reader.
